Mission
Moshi
The purpose of Mission Moshi is to implement Target Tanzania. It is the first and right now the only city that is a part of the "Target Tanzania" missions effort. Soon, when the Church is strong in Moshi, other major cities will follow. Moshi was chosen because it is the capitol city of the Kilimanjaro region. It is a very peaceful and beautiful area. The city is at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro and near the Kenya-Tanzania border. In one day's drive or less, you can travel to Nairobi, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, or Zanzibar. |

Tanzania Summer Mission Trips:
From mid-May to mid-July, American college students work together to help the mission work in and around Moshi, Tanzania. Our primary goal is to operate English learning programs for 5th and 6th grade Tanzanian children. This program is designed to help children develop English communication skills and teach them many Old Testament Bible stories. Also, we will serve the community through work in the Moshi Orphanage, care for the homeless, and one-on-one Bible and English instruction. For more information about Mission Moshi and how college students are involved, read my report. If you are interested in joining the Mission Moshi 2001 team, read this Information Packet. Groups from Lipscomb,
Texas A&M and MTSU
have plans to go this summer. |
